Multi-sectoral Approach

IFNA focuses on the integration agriculture and foods with other sectors into nutrition improvement actions in Africa with various sectors such as education, health, water and sanitation, social protection, private sectors and so on to maximize synergy.

This is held biennially to share experiences, lessons learnt and knowledge with African governments and development partners. African countries and development partners exchange views and opinions regarding effective implementation of the IFNA.

 

Development partners are diverse and dynamic made up of:

  • International organisations
  • Multilateral/Bilateral organisations
  • NGOs, CSOs
  • Private corporations
  • Research Institutes

 

Steering Committee:

The Steering Committee plays a role as the driving force and decision-making body for the initiative. IFNA Steering Committee meeting is held annually.

 

IFNA Secretariat:

The IFNA Secretariat coordinates African governments and development partners, and provide technical support to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the initiative’s interventions.
