How we began….

The Initiative for Food and Nutrition Security in Africa (IFNA) was launched at the 6th Tokyo International Conference of Africa’s Development (TICAD) in 2016 jointly by AUDA-NEPAD (the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, Development Agency of African Union) and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). Since then, the initiative aims at establishing a framework of collaboration to accelerate the implementation of food and nutrition security policies in Africa.

At the 7th Tokyo International Conference of Africa’s Development (TICAD) in 2019, African leaders and donor organizations called for actions by African government and al stakeholders to improve nutrition of people in Africa, especially of all 200 million children.
